About the Regiments

The 4th USCT Regiment was organized at Baltimore on July 15, 1863.

The 7th USCT Regiment was organized partially at Baltimore on September 26, 1863 and at other areas on the Western and Eastern Shores.

The 9th USCT Regiment was organized at Benedict in Charles County on November 11, 1863.

The 19th USCT Regiment was organized at Benedict in Charles County on December 15, 1863.

The 30th USCT Regiment was organized at Camp Stanton at Benedict in Charles County on February 9, 1864.

The 39th USCT Regiment was organized at Baltimore on March 29, 1864.
